Measuring performance of participatory e-government applying a sustainable citizen-centered e-government platform

Introduction The magical “e” concept has been intertwined with public sector reform in order to restore trust in government, re-engineer service deliberation processes, re-generate new relationships of administrative communications between citizens and government, and re-energize participatory democracy. As a breakthrough example of the “e” concept, the practices of e-government are not just utopian speculation. Rather, e-government turns into a part of daily life for citizens and government. All levels of governments provide a variety of e-government programs and applications to perform their tasks effectively and deliver their services efficiently at more sophisticated levels. Indeed, the promise of improved government performance with a strong emphasis on the citizen-centered approach is a primary reason for the movement toward more refined e-government.
