Myocardial infarctions in African American Males

The question we researched throughout this article is, “In adult African American males, can encouraging early screening, compared to using traditional practice, reduce the risk of experiencing an MI in the United States?” African American Male adults being at a higher risk for MI has become an important topic because the United States, specifically health care workers, need to strive for health equity. We found it essential to consider the socioeconomic factors and the individual to determine the best interventions to reduce the risk of myocardial infarctions. Peer reviewed articles showing prevalence, risk factors, and prevention was the approach we used when finding information. Education on preventative measures is crucial in reducing the risk.
