POTENTIAL INJECTION WELL STRATA FOR ACID MINE WATER DISPOSAL IN PENNSYLVANIA

Special Research Report SR-66 This report discusses the potential of establishing subsurface disposal wells in the bituminous and anthracite coal fields of Pennsylvania. The need for waste disposal and past practices are reviewed. Subsurface geology of the bituminous and the anthracite coal fields are discussed separately .. The disposal potential of several geologic units is examined and recommendations for procedure are made.
