Effects of Sexual Guilt on Self-Esteem in LGBT+ Emerging Adults
LGBT+ individuals are at risk for lower self-esteem. A regression analysis was used to determine what variables are associated with variance in self-esteem in LGBT+ emerging adults. Feeling guilty after sex indicated lower levels of self-esteem, while having friends in the LGBT+ community and feeling connected with said community indicated higher levels of self-esteem.
