AI Mimicry: Does AI Copy Us?

The popularity of the use of AI has skyrocketed in the past four years. One of the uses of AI is in entertainment. People enjoy being able to speak to AI as though it is a person; after all, it is able to respond and talk like a human when people prompt them to do so. That begs the question of whether AI copies us, or is AI capable of sentience or morality?
