Digitizing the Frost Entomological Museum: Lessons learned and given

Staff at the Frost Entomological Museum (PSUC) have been digitizing portions of the slide-mounted, ethanol-preserved, and dry specimen collections, using a variety of approaches and two main databasing strategies: Symbiota and TaxonWorks. We have also incorporated digitization into education and training experiences, with some successes (mostly) and a few pitfalls. Through this presentation we provide information on the strengths and future directions of the Frost, updates on progress, and descriptions of lessons we have learned from and given to others.
