The Use of Oral Cannabis Compared to Opioids for Chemotherapy-Induced Pain Relief
This evidence-based practice project explores the effectiveness of oral cannabis in comparison to opioids when it comes to managing cancer-related pain. Both quantitative and qualitative resources were utilized to orchestrate a well informed conclusion indicating if oral cannabis has the potential to be a safer, more effective form of therapy for cancer-related pain than commonly prescribed opioid regimens. With these findings, the future of oncological medicine could possibly improve, and patients with cancer could gain a new form of treatment and improvement of their quality of life.
