Their Stories: An Ethnographic Exploration of Harrisburg Holocaust Survivor Narratives

This Master's thesis transcribes and interprets four first-hand accounts provided by Holocaust survivors from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, utilizing digitally preserved interviews from the 1980s from the Edna Silberman Holocaust Oral History Project Collection. The collection is currently housed in the Schwab Holocaust Reading Room as part of the archival holdings at The Center for Holocaust and Jewish Studies at Penn State Harrisburg. Working from lengthy recordings, the author edits, synthesizes, and clarifies these historical narratives.
