Student-Athletes, from the Researched to Researcher:
OBJECTIVES Motivation: While NCAA states college athletes are students first, few athletes use academic skills outside off the field. Scholarship: This untapped opportunity for student-athletes to turn their athletic engagement experiences their field of sports into scholarly endeavors of the highest quality. New Directions: Apart from studying game tactics, training and competing, can a student athletes study their athletics field in a scholarly manner successfully? Reflective Research: As a former student-athlete,my goal is to use my academic skill to conduct my own research about the role of female coaches in intercollegiate sports.
