Food traceability in food supply chains – an investigation into the use of blockchain technology
Advisor - Dr. Soundar Kumara Abstract - This paper investigates the benefits blockchains can provide in the context of traceability for food supply chain. We look at general and specific workflows in the food supply chain and also look at current technologies available that can help improve traceability. Current non blockchain and blockchain initiatives in the industry are discussed and compared before a blockchain solution is presented.
