ENT532 Fall 2024: video of mantis caught a bee on willowleaf goldenrod
This video was about a mantis (Mantidae) on the willowleaf goldenrod flower, catching its prey, a bee, on a cloudy day in the field near the Powdermill Avian Research Center. It is a good stratagy that mantis sits near flowers and waits for nectar-eating insects to come. Mantis ate this bee from head.
