The Molecular Mechanisms of Organic Acid Biosynthesis in Carabidae

This dataset was generated from a comparative transcriptomics project aiming to characterize the molecular mechanisms underlying defensive chemical biosynthesis in three species of Pennsylvanian Carabidae: Harpalus pensylvanicus, Platynus angustatus, and Pterostichus moestus. This dataset contains: Illumina read trimming statistics, transcriptome assembly and annotation data, transcriptome quality assessment data, transcript quantification and gene expression analysis data, functional enrichment analysis data, and gene family phylogenetic data. Scripts used to generate said data are included along with software information, and untrimmed RNA-Seq data can be found at the associated BioProject: PRJNA705215.

    Description
    • This dataset was generated from a comparative transcriptomics project aiming to characterize the molecular mechanisms underlying defensive chemical biosynthesis in three species of Pennsylvanian Carabidae: Harpalus pensylvanicus, Platynus angustatus, and Pterostichus moestus. Specifically, this dataset contains the results of Illumina read trimming operations, transcriptome assembly and annotation, transcriptome quality assessments, gene expression analyses, functional enrichment analyses, and phylogenetic analysis of select gene families. The scripts used to generate said data are also included. All untrimmed RNA-Seq data can be found at the associated link (SRA BioProject PRJNA705215).
