4-Cylinder Turbo Charged vs. 6-Cylinder
When designing an engine some of the most important factors that are at play are the engine’s efficiency as well as its power output. for this project I am going to be looking at Chevrolet 6-cylinder engine and a Chevrolet 4-cylinder engine with a turbo charger. Through my calculations I found that the 4-cylinder was 8% more efficient than the 6-cylinder. Additionally the 4-cylinder engine would need to start at a pressure of 163.2 kpa and a temperature of 26.85 Celsius in order to match the power output of the 6-cylinder which was 92.52 horsepower.
