Humor and Library Instruction

Humor in library instruction can be used to reduce library anxiety and help students be more confident researchers. Humor can make a librarian seem more like "a real person" instead of someone just standing in front of the room. This may lead to repeat visits because students may perceive that they have a "friend" at the library.
