Does History Repeat Itself? An Analysis of Possible Connections in Music from 1967-69 & 2020-23
The purpose of this paper is to discuss and analyze literature that supports or negates the possible correlations of music of certain years to historical events that occurred during that same time. A review of the literature will be presented to explain the notable moments of these years and the music of that time potentially connected with these events. Conclusions will be offered to either support the premise that music of the selected time periods has a correlation to the historical events or that there is no correlation between music and the events of that period.
