
Paige Andrew and Penn State University: Reflections on a Career

In this comment, Paige Andrew’s coworkers reflect on his career at Penn State, where he was a member of the Cataloging and Metadata Services Department from 1995 until his retirement in 2023. Paige was a colleague, a mentor, and a friend. He was active in the libraries and in the community, while also cataloging thousands of maps, publishing multiple books, and training the next generation of maps catalogers. In recognition of his contributions, Penn State named Paige a Distinguished Librarian in 2018, making him the third librarian at Penn State to receive this honor. This comment discusses Paige’s collegiality, expertise, and service to the profession.
