Strength of Mechanically Stabilized Earth
Mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) is soil that is artificially reinforced to increase its shearing strength. Materials being layered within the earth can cause greater horizontal forces between the soil. These materials can result in different effects of the shearing strength of the soil, depending on the type of material and how it is used to reinforce the earth. For this project, the effects of using different kinds of techniques for reinforcing soil are examined in a controlled experiment.
