Case Study on Optimum Use of Smart Technology in Households
In today’s data-driven smart culture, the amount and variety of information being produced in various industries is growing exponentially. Smart technology goes beyond sending, receiving, and searching, it offers added interaction and control. This paper will explore drivers for the implementation and adoption of smart home systems. It will first shed light on the evolution of technology, appliances that are being/can be used and also barriers to the implementation of this change. Furthermore, this paper will also discuss the integration of these appliances in smart households, and most importantly the societal and ethical issues related to the technology. Supervised by Dr. Girish H. Subramanian, Professor of Information Systems
