This paper, originally issued in February 2017, questions the usefulness and viability of BIBFRAME as a replacement for MARC. It uses Everett M. Rogers's Diffusion of Innovations, the standard work on the adoption or rejection of innovations, as a framework for discussion of BIBFRAME.
