Nopales: Bringing a Traditional Mexican Superfood to the US
This project aims to introduce nopales (cactus pads) as a health-focused, mainstream food in the U.S., highlighting their cultural significance, nutritional value, and sustainability. The plan involves offering them in convenient forms—fresh, pickled, and powdered—targeting both Hispanic consumers and the growing health-conscious market. Through education, smart branding, and positioning as a superfood, nopales have the potential to gain popularity alongside staples like kale and spirulina.
