Susceptibility Testing of Lactobacillus Species in Probiotic Dietary Supplement Capsules
Research Objectives: Identify Lactobacillus species within six commercial probiotic dietary supplements from three different manufacturers. Determine if Lactobacillus species are resistant to certain antibiotics via Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method. Determine if capsules produced by the same manufacturer with different lot numbers have similar susceptibility to antibiotics.
