Privacy+
This presentation demonstrates the positive case for privacy for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and their clients. Using a case study approach, the presentation introduces the Six Private I's privacy conceptual framework and applies it to the business context, including entrepreneurial and brand identity, intellectual property and attention management for productivity, data integrity governance, confidentiality and trade secrets, and corporate boards for private companies. The presentation concludes with top takeaways for entrepreneurs, including that privacy matters to consumers based on Pew Research polling data, and the Privacy by Design (PbD) framework which can be used to develop privacy-positive systems and business processes. Delivered as part of the Privacy Beyond Compliance: The Business Case for Privacy panel for the PennState Berks Launchbox, November 4, 2020.
