The Consequences of Perfectionism in Adolescence
The relationship between perfectionism and increased depression and anxiety symptoms can be difficult to define. It is unclear whether there is a causal relationship or just correlation between perfectionism and mental health symptoms. This study investigates the relationship between perfectionism and adolescence to explore the possibility of causation. Based on previous research, the hypothesis suggests that perfectionism may hinder adolescents connection to their keys to success. While some studies have shown a correlation between perfectionism and depression or anxiety. There is not enough evidence to prove causation.
