Food Noise and Its Impact on Diabetes Care and Management: Insights for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists
Food noise has become a topic of discussion in popular media and with people who have recently begun using second-generation obesity medications such as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. In this article, we discuss what food noise is, how it can impact diabetes care and management, and how Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) can help people who report experiencing it. We also discuss insights for future research on food noise and potential shifts in nutrition care paradigms for patients treated with GLP-1 and other incretin medications.
