Sabra Statham, Project Coordinator, Penn State University Libraries Mike Furlough, Associate Dean, Penn State University Libraries Mathew Isham, Managing Director, Richards Civil War Center This session will explore how libraries can design and cultivate digital projects as collaborative arenas for research communities to work across institutional, disciplinary and professional borders. Discussants will show how The Peopleâs Contest has partnered large and small institutions with scholars and archivists to promote research and realize the librariesâ mission of community support. This will be the springboard to discuss how digital projects can: connect librarians with users; institutional libraries with community libraries; and increase intellectual access to manuscript collections.
