Proposal for Alaska Walleye Pollock Week

This is a classroom exercise that encourages students to learn more about and tap into resources by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). Students propose a week-long celebration of Alaska Walleye Pollock, utilizing online content and multimedia materials, and tapping into their communication skills to show the relevance of pollock, the most sustainable fishery in the world. This exercise can also be completed outside of class and around any marine species/NOAA area of research. I generated this exercise post-expedition, after sailing on an Alaska walleye pollock acoustical survey in the Gulf of Alaska in 2023.
