ANTHRACITE REFUSE POLLUTION AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC PLANNING IN NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA

Special Research Report SR-90 In order to develop a rational plan for refuse bank removal, one should consider the areal or spatial differences found within the anthracite region. These areal differences include such factors as socio- economic health, land values, air pollution potentials, aesthetic pollution or visual blight, and the differing shapes of anthracite banks that can be measured by area-volume ratios.
