Growing your Physical and Mental Wellness
This project explores the effects of gardening on mental and physical well-being across all age groups. Mentally, gardening has been shown to alleviate stress, depression, and symptoms of dementia, while also enhancing mood and cognitive functioning through social interaction and connection with nature. Physically, it improves mobility, cardiovascular health, and sleep. Gardening has also been shown to support healthy dietary habits and active lifestyles. It has proven to be an effective and sustainable way of improving one’s quality of life.
