Anti-smoking Public Health Message Evaluation, Spring 2015

The purpose of this writing sample was to explore the research behind an anti-smoking public health message which targeted pregnant women. The message was created by The Vermont Department of Health and attempted to express how important it is to expecting mothers that they quit to prevent the associated negative consequences. It is important to examine the research used behind public health messages in order to determine if they are supported by scientific research. The second purpose of this writing sample was to display appropriate methods of disseminating the public health message at interpersonal levels.
