
Engaging Minds
This is a history of The Penn Sylvania State University Press covering the first fifty years of its existence, prepared to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2006. It includes Foreword by then President Graham B. Spanier, a Preface by then Press director Sanford G. Thatcher, and besides the overall history sections devoted to each of its nine editorial concentrations in the humanities and social sciences, design and production, plus a listing of its journal editors and editorial committee members over the years. Most of its contents were written by Sanford G. Thatcher, who also edited contributions by three other acquiring editors and compiled the listings.
