CLOUD COMPUTING & MICROSOFT AZURE
Cloud-computing technology is an emerging service-delivery model anticipated to transform everyday computer services into a utility type commodity available on demand through the internet. This emergent technology platform offers the capabilities of a scalable and agile computing environment provisioned in a pay-per-use model, where the consumer only pays for services consumed, based on the metering of those services actually used (McAfee, 2011). Successfully, cloud computing service model is rapidly transforming the way organizations conduct business around the world, and it is quickly becoming the most utilized technology in the computing era (Knoblauch, 2014). Cloud computing promises significant cost savings, especially for small and medium size businesses, something that allows them to compete on a more-level playing field with larger enterprises (Dhar, 2012). Considering the rapid evolution of cloud computing and the wide variety of cloud service providers, IT professionals need to stay updated on the technology advancements. The focus of this research is primarily analyzing Microsoft Azure platform and the current service it provides. Moreover, the research aims to emphasize the capabilities of the services provided by Microsoft Azure platform. Supervisor Name: Dr. Girish H. Subramanian, Professor of Information Systems
