Drawing Relief: How Comics and Graphic Medicine Can Be a Lifeline for Medical Students' Stress and Well-Being - Early Insights
A subset of students within the comics cohort at Penn State's College of Medicine will be taking Dr. Michael Green’s course spring 2025 and the students are willing to talk to me about how engaging in comics and Graphic Medicine helps them relieve stress and embrace catharsis. This mixed methods project will consist of a brief electronic survey, then later followed by a group interview to build on survey responses that I hope will provide me with further data to better justify the collecting of Graphic Medicine in libraries.
Presented as part of the 2024-2025 virtual Research Training Institute cohort for the Medical Library Association (MLA).
