LETTER REPORT REGARDING CONTINUED DEFICIENCES NOTED IN PIONEER AGGREGATES SUBMITTAL TO THE PENNYSLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (JANUARY 19, 2022)
This letter report has been submitted as public comment regarding the referenced Pioneer Aggregates responses to deficiency comments stated in the Pennsylvania Department of Protection (PADEP) correspondence dated September 28, 2021. The data and evaluations for this site was at the Fell Township, Pennsylvania site and applicable to Pennsylvania statewide general permit that has been submitted to PADEP. This PADEP correspondence also provided partial public comments that had been included for the applicant’s response. The following comments are provided regarding continued and serious concerns regarding the approval of the Fell Township site as well as statewide approval of this type of stabilized waste as construction and mine reclamation fill.
