SociaLibri – A Social Book App

SociaLibri is an iOS application that facilitates Student Centered Learning (SCL) and the Theory of Multiple Intelligences (TMI) by allowing students to create and share annotations in digital textbooks. Annotations can take the form of comments, photos, videos, illustrations, audio recordings, and hyperlinks. SCL is an approach to learning and teaching based on the belief that students learn best when they develop their own understandings through authentic learning experiences. TMI advocates that individuals possess different types intelligence that can be demonstrated through various modalities. The social nature and built in content creation tools of SociaLibri facilitate both teaching methodologies via a cloud based, Software as a Service (SaaS) application. Supervisor - Dr. Girish H. Subramanian, Professor of Information Systems
