
Data for ENT532: Insect Diversity Collection (Jennings). Milkweed aphids have overrun their host plant.
This picture, which was taken at the Penn State Arboretum, shows that when aphids are left unchecked, they can overrun a plant, leaving it diseased and discolored.
You can see the yellow aphids more towards the bottom of the picture, clustering on what might be the last bits of healthy tissue on this plant.
