Importance of Decreased Door to Computed Tomography (CT) Time in Suspected Stroke Patients
The study’s goal is to partner with WellSpan Waynesboro to evaluate response to a patient showing signs and symptoms of stroke, and to identify potential factors inhibiting this door-to-CT or door-to-therapy process. Among suspected stroke patients in the WellSpan Waynesboro ED, does analysis of door-to-CT and door-to-therapy timeframes, and subsequent identification of inhibitory factors, reduce poor patient health outcomes compared to standard facility protocol and historical analysis practices? Our objective at WellSpan hospital in Waynesboro is to identify existing interventions in the presenting stroke patient as well as times from door-to-CT and door-to-treatment and to examine potential barriers to proprietary time goals.
