Political Engagement in the NFL and Its Influence on Its Viewers

Over the past two years, the NFL and its players have been increasingly involved in politics. The project seeks to investigate whether political engagements in the NFL influence viewers. 152 participants from 12 states completed a survey that included demographic questions and questions about politics and engagement in the NFL. This research will interest those who continue studying politics in sports because the political engagements of the NFL and its players are still occurring. Results suggest that people’s political views are shown in their political engagement in the NFL.
