Asymptotic analysis of resonances of small volume high contrast linear and nonlinear scatterers

We consider the asymptotic analysis of the resonances of high contrast small volume scatterers for linear and nonlinear scalar waves. The resonance problem is formulated as a nonlinear eigenvalue problem. We derive asymptotic formulae for linear scatterers and nonlinear scatterers of the Kerr type. Our results are illustrated with numerical examples.
