Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce (1912-1953)
The Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce was established within the Department of Commerce and Labor by an act of Congress August 23, 1912. It consolidated the Bureau of Statistics (C 14) and the Bureau of Manufacturers (C 10). Department abolished in in 1953 functions transferred to other departments among them Business and Defense Services Administration (C 41) and the Bureau of Foreign Commerce (C42).
