Airport Efficiency: A Determination of Key Predictors Using Data Envelopment Analysis

A firm’s performance measurements are essential to guarantee that services are done correctly. Since airports are systems with a variety of complex requirements, from flights and passengers’ movements to cargo, it has resulted in a body of literature applying various econometric techniques to compare efficiency between different samples of airports. This paper uses output-oriented Variable returns to scale Data Envelopment Analysis on thirty US and global airports in an empirical analysis. By applying this methodology, policymakers and stakeholders can viably think about operational productivity between airports, and hence generate more informed decisions.
