Privacy Literacy in Engineering

This chapter brings together current information concerning the implementation of privacy practices, teaching engineering students about the privacy implications of their own projects and research, and training students and faculty in privacy safeguards during the regular routine of librarianship. Readers will gain insight into incorporating privacy training into their instruction and reference sessions, ensuring current privacy practices in their work, and processes for building collections covering privacy issues appropriate to the engineering profession. The ACRL Framework Standard "Information has Value" will assist to guide all aspects of the chapter.
