Nicotine’s Effect on Anxiety Due to Elevated Cortisol Levels

This research study was conducted to determine if elevated cortisol levels due to nicotine use have a correlation with symptoms of anxiety. The study conducted involved a literature review of four scholarly articles that all had relation to this subject. This study proves important for the medical field as it aims to look at reasons nicotine users may struggle with cessation and addiction.
