Creative Cognition

Nurturing and developing creative skills and expanding a student’s creative capacity is the hallmark of learning experiences in the Penn State College of Arts and Architecture. What is creativity and how do we teach it? To answer this question, scholars, psychologists, educators, and neuroscientists have been discussing and defining the construct of creativity for more than 60 years.

This study seeks to explore the theories of creative cognition and learning science to develop a framework for analyzing current, and developing new, pedagogical practices for creativity in art and design.
