Survey of pin use in entomological collections

This survey was administered to the entomological collections community via the Entomological Collections Network and the Natural History Collections listervs. The aim was to accumulate information about pinning practices, with respect to brands of pins used and pin properties (stiffness, point sharpness, type of metal, etc.) that the community considers most important. The survey responses informed our development of tests for insect pins.
