Bureau of Domestic Commerce (1970-1972)

The Business and Defense Services Administration was established in the Department of Commerce by Departmental Order 152 on October 1, 1953. The Administration was abolished and functions transferred to the Bureau of Domestic Commerce (C 41) by Departmental Order 40-1A on September 15, 1970. The Bureau was transferred to the Domestic and International Business Administration (C 57.500) by Departmental Order on November 17, 1972.
