Directions for NCDA career development facilitator curriculum revision: Qualitative analysis of the needs assessment survey results

This report summarizes the results of the needs assessment conducted in 2010 with an aim to revise the Facilitating Career Development (FCD) curriculum developed by the National Career Development Association (NCDA). The survey asked the relevance of objectives of each chapter, usage of every activity in the student manual, open-ended questions about content updates in each chapter, career development practitioner competencies, and other comments. Responses are provided by 50 CDF Instructors and Master Trainers. The research team used a qualitative data analysis tool, NVivo, for analysis. This report was used to guide the development of the 3rd edition of the Facilitating Career Development curriculum.
