Economic discrimination is the only openly acceptable form of discrimination in higher education. Because our students work, and the lower the SES the greater the chance that work will interfere with their education, our aim is to elevate the student's paid employment experience by adding academic rigor to work and skills/perspectives needed to excel in real world. We believe that this is the future of employment anyways (i.e., blending working and learning, and the connection between the process of learning and process of working), so more college and universities should be leveraging academic learning into the working process for students.
