OBJECTIVES Groundwork: Scenario planning is a planning tool taught in.business education; at the undergraduate level, however, scenario planning is nearly unheard of, in sociology or other. Question: If undergraduate students are doing scenario planning as an.engaged scholarship experience, then are they also doing sociology? Approach: Two students examined the scenario planning process and applied the tool with community partners: this is their story. Student authors describe what scenario planning is, reflect on learning it and summarize their experience planning with local community associates. The authors reflexively ask: “is what we did sociology?”
