Roma a piedi

Roma a piedi: A Digital itinerary is a project that aims to digitize early-modern guidebook itineraries for the purpose of visualizing these itineraries using digital mapping tools. This data file contains the metadata derived from the three-day itinerary titled La Guida Romana, published as an addition to Girolamo Franzini's 1588 Le cose maravigliosa dell'alma città di Roma. Accompanying files [LaguidaGiornataPrima; LaguidaGiornataSeconda; Laguida_GiornataTerza] contain the metadata for each of the three days outlined by the itinerary, split into separate files for the creation of multiple mapped layers.
