Mountain Lion mtDNA North and South America MAFFT alignment file

This alignment file contains five novel mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) genomes of extinct Pennsylvania mountain lions (Puma concolor) and two complete mtDNA genomes from Texas and Florida mountain lions available on Genbank (accession numbers NC_016470 and KP202261 respectively). Sequences were aligned using MAFFT version 7 default settings with the E-INS-i iterative refinement method, and verified visually.
